The location of La Casona really impressed me. The views from the balcony were stunning, especially watching the hummingbirds flutter around while enjoying breakfast. It felt so peaceful. I appreciated the spacious shower with hot water and good pressure in the Deluxe King Room. However, the property showed signs of aging. The mosquito net in my room had holes, and there were some cleanliness issues with towels that looked stained. The bar noise from nearby until midnight was disruptive, making it tough to sleep. Overall, the atmosphere was vibrant, but attention to room maintenance is needed for a better stay.

amazing views from the restaurant balcony, relaxing pool area, great bathroom shower
The property feels extremely dated!!! Mosquito nets have holes and are too small!!! Chairs and loungers need repairs, and noise from nearby bars continues late into the night!!!

Family with children suitable spot
The location is prime,, right off main street so you can easily walk to many restaurants and shops. The staff members were super friendly,, always keen to help us with anything we needed.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but still somewhat reasonable.

fantastic central spot for exploring local attractions and nature
Staying here was a treat as it's just a short walk to the Cacao museum and Chocolate Factory and only about a 30-minute trek to the stunning Cascada de Marinka, making it perfect for someone like me who loves exploring cities and enjoying parks. the charming outdoor spaces provided a great place to unwind while watching the vibrant hummingbirds, although the sound from the nearby bars could be a bit loud at night, which was a downside.

The kids loved the pool area and we enjoyed the relaxing terrace with views of hummingbirds. Our daughter especially enjoyed strolling to nearby chocolate attractions, which were just a short walk from the hotel. It was a beautiful setting for family fun.
In my wife’s opinion, more pools would make it better for families.
